Moving on ... or as I like to think ... MOVING UP!!

I have made a final and definate decision in my life.  The kiddos and I have left Mid-County and moved back to Silsbee.  It took me months to decide what I should do but in the end I feel that this decision... to begin again, just the four of us, is in all of our Best Interest!  I am so ready to begin my life for myself and my kiddos.  I am so thankful for my family and my friends who have supported my decision and been there for me throughout this process!!  I am so ready to move on and move on UP!!! If you all could spare a prayer for the four of us I would greatly appreciate it... To New Beginings!!!!

"Letting go doesn't mean giving up... it means moving on. It is one of the hardest things a person can do. Starting at birth, we grasp on to anything we can get our hands on, and hold on as if we will cease to exist when we let go. We feel that letting go is giving up, quitting, and that as we all know is cowardly. But as we grow older we are forced to change our way of thinking. We are forced to realize that letting go means accepting things that cannot be. It means maturing and moving on, no matter how hard you have to fight yourself to do so."

God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
- Reinhold Niebuhr

I Can Do Anything - Starting Right Now.
I have my dream, I have God,
and I choose to move in the direction of my goal,
even when I am afraid or unsure.
Whenever I fall, I stand up, brush myself off,
and keep moving toward my goal.

GRADUATION DAY!!!

My family!
Well, Graduation Day has come and gone!  It was such an AWESOME feeling to be sitting among all of the graduates!  I had such an overwhelming since of pride and accomplishment!  It was unbelievable!  I had my phone with me throughout the ceremony, I text my brother, Kurt, and told him how now I understood why he did it THREE times!!  Ole Dr. Dinkle ... just laughed!

Me, my mom, and Dr. Dinkle (haha)

I started my day very very anxious, but calmed down on the ride to the Montange Center!  Ben's brother, Ryan drove me so I wouldn't have to drive!  I then went and found my friend, Jayme Grisham, and took some pictures with her and then waited and waited !  It seemed like forever and then we all started to line up to grace the audience with our presence!  LOL!  It started to get rowdy ... lots of cheering and whooping.. it was so fun!!  We walked out and I found all of my family (Kurt text me to tell me where they were), it brought tears to my eyes to see the girls standing in their seats to wave at Momma!!  So awesome!  The ceremony began!!!

Brooklyn and Me!

The speaker was really good!  Not boring!! Then it was time for all of us to stand and turn our tassels!! WOOOO HOOOO it was great!!! Then they asked all of the graduates to keep standing!  Mr. Simmons talked about how college was very different for each graduate including the amount of time it took them to finish whether it be taking time off or having a family or coming back after years of working.... so then he said he wanted  the graduates that took four years from the time they graduated high school to sit down... and they did ... he went on to five... and six... and seven... and eight... and nine.. and ten ... and eleven .. and twelve... and FINALLY AT THIRTEEN  I got to sit down... it was so funny and emotional at the same time!  Then it was time for the College of Business to cross the stage and get their DEGREE!!!   It was one of the greatest moments and proudest moments!  I walked back to my seat ... or FLOATED waving to all my family and friends!!

Lanny, Me, and My Mom!

Patty, Me and My Dad!!

The ceremony ended and I walked out to take pictures with everyone!! It was a great great morning!  Then we took off to the crawfish boil and celebration!!!

Run! Run! and Run!

I am full out running again and it feels GREAT!  I started in February, did my first 5K in March, and have done 2 more since!  My times have gradually gotten better......My last 5K I went to The Woodlands with Brittany and Tarynn to run with an old friend of mine Melanie, in The Run for Hope!  It was so awesome to see her!  Mel has lost like 90lbs and just looks AMAZING!!!

My goal was to do a 5K in 25 minutes and I ran this one in 25:16... 16 stinkin seconds away from my Goal, so I guess I will be doing another one soon to put that Goal behind me!!!
I am so excited to be back in shape and feeling Great!  It helps me keep up with the three children who are always going 90 miles an hour!  My recent route took me 10 miles and I ran every step!  I will be looking to enter a 1/2 marathon very soon .. so wish me luck!!http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/33288526!!!! Then after that I told Ben I hope (crossing my fingers) that in March 2012 I will be confident enough to do the Gusher Full Marathon!  26.1 miles HERE I COME!!

GRADUATION

Way back when in 1998 I started on a journey in Baton Rouge, Louisiana!  I sure as Hell didn't think that the end of my journey would end in 2011 with three children, a divorce, and so many obstacles along the way. and it should have ended in about 4.5 years at the PMac at LSU!  I have an unbelievable amount of pride for coming back and finishing.  Now having something that NO ONE IN THIS WHOLE WIDE WORLD CAN TAKE AWAY FROM ME.... MY DEGREE.

Today, I officallly legally changed my name back to Kelly Dinkle, so MY name will be printed accoss that priceless piece of paper. Also today, I now officially have my attire for May 14th, my cap and gown!  I CANNOT wait for my girls to watch their mother walk accross that stage!  I hope they will always remember that no matter WHAT, they can do ANYTHING they put their mind too!  This journey hasn't been easy and I am so glad that it hasn't, because it has shown ME that I CAN do it!!  Alot of the doubt I have in myself is gone!  Thank goodness cause sometimes that doubt overwhelmed me!

47 MORE DAYS WILL MARK THE END OF THIS JOURNEY AND A BEGINING OF ANOTHER... THANK GOD!!!

ok now just to stop these tears and get on with my day!!!

SOCCER is in the air.....

HI everyone!! Brooklyn and Hally are now in 1st grade and Kindergarten, and the activities are begining to start.  I really can't believe they are old enough to be involved in after-school activities.  Just yesterday it seems I was holding them in my arms as babies.  They have grown up so fast and are just amazing, sweet, smart little girls.  They both are in the Advanced Reading Program at school and they get on Green (best color) everyday!! I am so so proud of them !!!

Basketball it is .... well for now!

Blake just does new things every single day.  His vocabulary is growing so much and he LOVES books.  BUT, he is IN LOVE WITH BASKETBALL...IN LOVE!   He is 15 months old and will spend everyday all day (if I would let him), shooting his LSU basketball into the baby basketball goal.  It AMAZES me!  He is really good, he hardly ever misses!  And YES it is taller than him!!  Tonight he has sat RIGHT in front of the television and watched the game.  Everytime they make it he will clap and say YEAAAA!  If the ball misses he will say UGH!  It is really funny... Watch for Blake Broussard in the NBA in about 20 years... I promise!!!  :)

I have debated on which easter basket to order for him, however tonight I have made up my mind... BASKETBALL IT IS!!!
I know these are the wrong balls but its all I got...Academy.... January 2010
